Nicholas Patrick Martin

Currently, I work at WKBT as a Master Control Opperator. In this position, it is my responsibility to moniter all six television stations to make sure they are being broadcast properly. This includes, but is not limited to, checking closed captioning and writing down when adverstiments and show segments air. I also cut up shows, advertisments, and promos for broadcast. During newscasts, I work the audio board.

Previously, I was employed at the La Crosse Media Group, which is now owned by Magnum Media, as a Weekend Helper and Executive Producer for Logger’s baseball games. One the weekend, I monitored all five radio stations to make sure they were running properly and recorded the weather forecasts. As Executive Producer, I loaded and played the commercial breaks and edited game highlights.

In the fall of 2018, I stage managed The Game’s Afoot at the La Crosse Community Theatre.

While at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, I became involved at 90.3 WRST FM in Oshkosh, and in the fall of 2015 I created a radio program which focused on music artists from around Wisconsin. I produced the program during the school year every Saturday night for two years. In the summer of 2016 I interned at Wisconsin Public Radio in La Crosse, and was able to use some techniques I learned that next school year as WRST’s Promotions Director. During the fall semester of the 2015-16 school year I staged managed Fredric March Theatre’s production of Our Town, where I had the privilege to work with a professional actor.
